Conferences
I have assisted in organising conferences on : Evaluation ( 7 international conferences and numerous regional workshops ) starting in 1989 . I have also organised International conferences on : capacity building , community development , civil society strengthening amongst other issues . I have organised and facilitated workshops for specific groups and for wider consultations for Official donors , INGOs , civil society groups.
Public Speaking.
I have contributed to conferences globally for UN agencies , World Bank, INGOs, academic bodies , bilateral donor agencies , developing country NGOs, Civicus and many others . Recent talks include :
Briefings for Danida staff , lectures in the Universities of Birmingham , Sussex and Manchester . Presentations at the Royal Geographic society , British Academy, UNICEF, Pria India , Simon Fraser University Vancouver, ISS The Netherlands, Swiss aid and many others . I have at some time or another spoken in almost every European country and many developing countries at a wide range of events.
